On the heels of SeafoodFest, another Ballard summer tradition is on the calendar for this weekend. The 27th annual Viking Days will be held at the Nordic Heritage Museum (3014 NW 67th St) on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival features food from all five Scandinavian countries, music, craft vendors, Viking re-enactments and activities for kids.
Raffle tickets will be available for $2 each, which benefits the Museum’s operations. Raffle prizes include two roundtrip tickets to anywhere in Scandinavia aboard Icelandair, 2011 Mostly Nordic Concert Series tickets for two (5 concerts plus smörgåsbord), a Char-Broil Patio Bistro InfraRED 650° electric grill, a Nordic gift basket and three one-year family memberships to the Nordic Heritage Museum.
The annual Swedish Pancake Breakfast will be served Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the popular Salmon Barbecue Dinner will be served Saturday 5p.m. to 7 p.m. The cost of the Swedish Pancake Breakfast will be $8 for members, $10 for non-members and $6 for kids. The Salmon Barbecue Dinner will be $15 for members, $18 for non-members and $12 for kids.
