School starts on September 8, which is now less than a month away. If you’ve got a Kindergartener starting at Adams Elementary, the school has a fun way for kids and families to meet each other. The first Kinder Family Playdate is tomorrow from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for incoming Adams students and parents. Two more playdates are planned for August 21st at 10 a.m. and again on August 28th at 3:30 p.m. All three events will be held at the Adams Elementary playground. Our son's school (Whittier) also has playground playdates for incoming families. These tend to be well attended with both new students, and returning families. It's a great opportunity for kids and parents to make new connections with other families, and to renew acquaintances. Check http://www.whittierway.org for dates and times. They're usually Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
