This weekend is the annual Yulefest at the Nordic Heritage Museum. Yulefest, on Nov. 17-18, is a Nordic Christmas celebration and will include hand-crafted gifts, Scandinavian music, and Nordic treats.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and will feature traditional Scandinavian entertainment such as fiddlers, singers and folk-dancers. Scandinavian food will include open-face sandwiches at the Nordic Café; krumkake and lefse in the Kaffestuga; and, in the Bodega, glögg and a selection of Nordic beers, according to the Nordic Heritage Museum’s webpage about the event. It’s a family-friendly event, and Santa will make an appearance for photos.
The Nordic Heritage Museum suggests a donation of $3 for adults, $1 for kids 6-11, kids under 6 are admitted free. Limited parking is $2.
