This Sunday, Dec. 9, you’ll have an opportunity to tour one of your neighbors rain gardens. David Folweiler is opening up his yard to show how his rain garden works, and to talk about the RainWise program through Seattle Public Utilities. Folweiler’s gardens was built by the Ballard Corners Park landscape architect, John Barker. The open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at his home at 1725 NW 64th St.
In addition to information about rain gardens, he’ll have hot cider and cookies for guests. Folweiler asks that people register here so he has an idea of how many to expect.
