This Saturday, the Interbay Petco will have several cats that are up for adoption from the Seattle Animal Shelter. The cats that will be at the event have been in the shelter’s foster care program until they were old enough for adoption. They say they have over 20 kittens and one adult cat up for adoption.
Here are a couple of the kittens/cats signed up for the event (descriptions provided by Petfinder):
“Ahoy maties! After a life on the high seas, I’m ditching the eye patch and looking for a nice place to live out my life!
Okay, the truth is I lived with the same person all my life until I was surrendered to the shelter. Not sure what brought that on because I’m such a good cat. Unfortunately, I had glaucoma in one eye so the shelter had the vet remove it. Don’t worry about me though; turns out I only need one good eye to swat the birdie toy. I’m sweet (but I can be a little salty sometimes) and love a perch to watch the birds.”
Mac:
“14-week old, DMH, male, peach tabby with dabs of white, is so curious about people and little by little is developing his social skills with humans. Since his littermates have been adopted, he is blossoming! He loves playing with the younger foster kittens in the household. Between naps and snacks and play, he swings by to say hello and get some pats and will even hop up to snuggle on your lap in the evenings.”
Other furballs up for adoption are Edison, Doppler, and Maria. All cats can be adopted prior to the event, which is Saturday, Aug. 24 from noon to 3 p.m. at Petco (2001 15th Ave W.).
