Seattle Parks and Recreation teams will begin construction at Woodland Park Play Area (1000 N 59 St) next Monday, January 6. The project will replace play equipment, provide access improvements and complete work as necessary to improve the existing play area.
During construction the play area will be closed to the public and will reopen when completed in April this year. Construction was postponed to allow families to use the play area during Seattle Public School’s winter break.
The Woodland Park Play Area project is funded by the Parks and Green Spaces Levy which allocated $350,000 for design, planning and construction.
