According to their website, El Borracho Taqueria y Cantina is set to open this Friday, February 21, in the former Field House space at 5465 Leary Ave NW. The team has been busily preparing for the opening and are excited for the festivities to begin.
The opening of the Ballard branch of El Borracho will bring owner Kittie Davidovich’s locations up to three, including her other El Borracho establishments at Pike Place Market and in “Frelard”.
According to Seattle Eater, the Ballard eatery will have the same a la carte menu (with 16 different tacos, including duck, rabbit and lamb) and their $1 taco happy hour (from 5 – 7 p.m. daily) and $4 margaritas.
Despite the delicacies on offer food wise, according to Davidovich, “we’re a bar first and foremost. It’s called El Borracho (The Drunk) for a reason,” she told Eater.
Starting Friday, El Borracho will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. seven days a week, with the kitchen open until 1 a.m. daily. For reservations call (206) 582-1974
