With summer winding down, and Seattle Public Schools classes set to start on September 3, the Ballard Boys & Girls Club (1767 NW 64th Street) will host its final week of summer camps next week, with a pair of camps designed to get kids up and moving.

For boys and girls in second through eighth grade, Hoopaholics is hosting its final Ballard summer basketball camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 25 through 28. Campers will be taught about shooting and spacing, ball handling, and defensive techniques from Hoopaholics coaches. The cost is $190 for the week, or $60 per day. Meanwhile, Serevi Rugby will also host a camp at the Boys & Girls Club from the 25th to 28th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Open to children age 6 to 12, the camp will introduce kids to the game of rugby while developing core rugby skills, and decision making abilities. Students are asked to wear running shoes or soccer cleats, and to bring a water bottle, lunch and snacks for the day, and clothing layers depending on the weather. The cost of the camp is $165 for the four days ($200 for non-Boys & Girls Club members).
