Shoppers are hitting downtown Ballard for Seattle’s largest sidewalk sale.
Many shops along Market St. and Ballard Ave have tables set up with merchandise marked at deep discounts.
Coordinator Mary Hurley tells us that Thursday is usually the slowest day of the four-day sale, which culminates with this weekend’s Seafood Fest.

Yeah, I was waiting for Friday. Looks like they got quite a crowd.
who wants to take the over/under on how long it takes doug11 to comment on this post? I'll set the line at 5.5…
Oh, don't encourage him.
I just thought I'd report that I made out like a bandit at Romanza, Ballard Blossom,Lucca, Ella Mon, Ballard Home Comforts, Camelion, and Tableau. I have most of my Christmas shopping done already. The nice girl at Tableau carried my bag to the car, and the women at Ballard Blossom were incredibly helpful and actually “customized” part of one of my purchases. A lot of places have things at 70% off, which is amazing.
If anyone out there is getting married in the future, Ballard Blossom has an astonishing array of :bridal stuff on sale.
