This Sunday, the Sunset Hill community hosts a jazz-filled pork BBQ dubbed “Porkfest.”
The potluck-style event begins at 1 p.m. at 3231 NW 67th St. Accompanying the community meal will be a live jazz group organized by Joel Stanky, a student of New York City’s The New School.
“Please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert. A small donation for beer would be appreciated and ice tea will be provided,” says one of the organizers, Tim Bauer.
Bauer says locally printed T-shirts will be available depicting the event and slogan: “High On The Hog–Legalize Recreational Pork.”
