Northwest Seaport welcomes Seattleites aboard their open ship every Tuesday evening from now until Sept. 1st, from 6-9 p.m. The historic tugboat is moored at the Historic Ships Wharf on Lake Union with a clear view of the organized chaos known as Seattle’s “Duck Dodge.”
“We want to give everyone the opportunity to watch the crazy and amazing sailboat race Duck Dodge,” writes Northwest Seaport.
Tonight’s evening would include beer, wine and hearty hors d’oeuvres for $25/person.
Additionally, each weekly race has its own theme, and NW Seaport will match its food and drink to the race’s theme. For this Tuesday August 11th “Tropical Night” theme, a pastiche of Mexican and Caribbean tastes are offered including flan for dessert.
All proceeds benefit Northwest Seaport, a 51-year-old non-profit dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the maritime heritage of Puget Sound and the Pacific Northwest. For more information on the NW Seaport recurring event, go to their website here.
