Throwback Thursday: when streetcars and trolleys dominated the roads

For today’s Throwback Thursday we look at transportation of the old days in Ballard. Many of the bus routes we use in Ballard – the 15, 17, 18 and 28 – were once routes that were used by the city’s streetcar tracks. Ballard’s trolley-line was developed in 1914 according to History Link, and the streetcar was king until the early 40s – the last Seattle streetcar completed its final run on April 13, 1941.
