The abandoned industrial buildings directly across from Edith Macefield’s old home on 46th St. will soon be demolished to make room for two new office buildings. One is a five-story building with 25,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 square feet of office space. The other is a four-story building with 44,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 of office above. Both proposals were just given the green light, and demolition should begin soon. No word yet on the retail tenants. (See the land use details here and here.)
