The city and the teachers union reached a tentative agreement just before 7 a.m. this morning, which means the strike may be over and classes could start as early as Thursday. Seattle Public Schools made the announcement this morning, after bargaining teams from the district and the Seattle Education Association (SEA) worked all day yesterday and overnight to come to an agreement.
The district is not releasing details at this time due to an embargo period that allows for the union to discuss the agreement with its membership. We’ll update with any new information.
