Update: Mark Anderson wrote to let us know their last day will be October 11, after the Antiquarian book fair (unless they sell all their books before then).
Original: Anderson’s Books is closing up shop, and they’re getting rid of their inventory at a steal: all books are selling for $1 until they close for good on Friday, Sept. 18. The store, at 5418 20th Ave NW, Suite 100, will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day through Friday. They ask that customers bring their own bags or boxes to haul items bought, and that they prefer cash but will process credit cards for orders over $20.
Directions to the store, from their Craigslist post about the sale:
“We are Anderson’s Books, at the cross streets of 20th Ave NW and Market Street. We are on the 20th Ave NW side of the white building on that corner (there is a pet store on the ground floor). Go through the double glass doors on 20th Ave NW, up the white marble staircase to the first landing and take a right. The hallway with artwork hanging is the right place!! We are not the bookstore on the ground level.”
Owner Mark Anderson tells us he’s closing because he’s moving to Denver.
