Three city council candidates will be answering questions at a public forum tonight at the Leif Erikson Hall. The forum, sponsored by the Central Ballard Residents Association (CBRA), is at 2245 NW 57th St from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Tonight’s forum will include Jon Grant (Position 8), Bill Bradburd (Position 9) and Catherine Wheatbrook (District 6). Each candidate will have three minutes for an opening statement, and audience members will have one minute each for their questions, followed by a two-minute answer from the candidate. Candidates will then have one minute to make a closing statement.
The CBRA will host another forum on October 7 with Lorena Gonzalez (Position 9), Tim Burgess (Position 8), and Mike O’Brien (District 6) will be there to answer questions.
Central Ballard Residents Association (CBRA) was formed in February of 2012 by Ballard residents to provide a public forum for discussion of community issues and to serve as a voice of Central Ballard with the community, government and other organizations. CBRA advocates on behalf of its members to promote a healthy, livable, walkable, and safe community in the neighborhood’s historic core.
