King County Clinic to provide free services at Seattle Center

The Seattle/King County Clinic will be open at Seattle Center from October 22 through 25 providing free medical, optical and dental services for local residents.

The clinic will operate on a first come first served basis with admission tickets being distributed each morning from the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall (301 Mercer Street) at 5 a.m. The highest demand for tickets is expected to be Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25.

Clinic representatives advise locals to come prepared for a long day with food, warm clothing and any daily medications. Interpreters will also be available.

The clinic will be offering the following services free of charge:

Dental: Cleanings, fillings, extractions and X-rays.

Vision: Vision screening, complete dilated eye exams, glaucoma screening, diabetic retinopathy, reading glasses and prescription eyeglasses (delivered at a later date).

Medical: Physical exams, PAP smears, mammograms, X-rays, EKGs, ultrasounds, select lab tests, rapid HIV and hepatitis testing, foot care, wound care, flu shots, naturopathic and chiropractic care, acupuncture, behavioral health, nutrition and pharmacy counseling, screening for diabetes and hypertension.

Licensed healthcare professionals, both male and female providers will be available.

All are welcome to attend and patients do not need to bring identification or proof of citizenship. Free parking is available in the Mercer Street Garage (650 3rd Avenue North).
