The Norwegian Commercial Club is set to meet for the first time this year on Thursday, January 14, at Leif Erikson Lodge (2245 NW 57th St).
The meeting is jam packed full of great events and will also celebrating the new year with Norwegian sweater night. Tom Malone from the Nordic Heritage Museum will be the guest speaker for the evening.
“If you’re in the choruses or NACC or belong to the museum please forward this e-mail to your group or groups so we can start the year off with a bang. We would also like to invite all of the Scandinavian groups to attend,” says NCC Vice President Kris Tempting.
Happy Hour will start at 5:45 p.m. and dinner (of salmon cakes with dill sauce, roasted potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert) will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Cost for the event is $25 for pre-registered members, $30 for drop-in members/guests/non-paid members and $10 for students (with valid ID).
“We are looking forward to hearing about fund raising and possibly ground breaking events. Let’s do all we can to celebrate the new year,” says Tempting.
