FRIDAY, August 12

• Park in the Heart childrens Art Classes at Ballard Commons Park (5701 22nd Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The classes will allow children to experiment with color and each week will have a new theme. All are welcome and the event is free.
• Ballard Midday Music Series at Bergen Place Park (5420 22nd Ave NW) from noon – 1:30 p.m.
• Movies at the Marina Event: Screening of Pan at Shilshole Marnia (7001 Seaview Ave NW) activities from 6 p.m. and movie screening at dusk. Event is free.
• Live Music
  • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St) at 7 p.m. – 200 Trio featuring Kareen Kandi – cover $10
  • Tobias the Owl (release) with The Local Strangers and Banner Days at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 8 p.m. Tickets $10.
  • Northwest Psych Fest at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 6 p.m. Tickets $20.

SATURDAY, August 13

• Horseless Carriage Car Show at Ballard Locks from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event also features pre-1950’s automobiles.
• Reggie Miles and Friends Music Jam and Sing Along Arts in the Park event at Ballard Commons (5701 22nd Ave NW) from noon – 2 p.m. Bring your voice, talent and instruments. Free event. All skill levels and all are welcome.
• Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring Pacific Cascade Big Band.
• Live Music
  • Nite Wave Performs Duran Duran’s “Rio” with DJ Baby Van Beezly at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $15.
  • Adia Victoria, Sam Russell & the Harborrats and Abraham at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 9 p.m. Tickets $12.

SUNDAY, August 14

• Ballard Farmer’s Market along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
• Zumba Class at Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. $5 suggested donation, all funds raised go to Ballard Elks charities. Classes are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month.
• Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring MachOne Jazz Orchestra.
• Live Music
  • Open mic at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) sign-up at 7:30 p.m.
  • Stella Crest, Heavy Petting and Perfect Families at the Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) at 8 p.m. Tickets $8.
