• Park in the Heart childrens Art Classes at Ballard Commons Park (5701 22nd Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The classes will allow children to experiment with color and each week will have a new theme. All are welcome and the event is free.
• Ballard Midday Music Series at Bergen Place Park (5420 22nd Ave NW) from noon – 1:30 p.m.

    • 7 p.m. – Paul Green Jazz/Blues Quartet – cover $10

SATURDAY, August 20

• Greyhound Meet and Greet at All the Best Pet Care (1909 NW Market St) from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Join the team to meet retired racing greyhounds, learn about adoption, volunteer opportunities and more.
• Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring the Microsoft Jumpin’ Jive Orchestra.

  • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St) at 7pm – Dorothy Rodes – cover $10 cover
  • Country Lips *TWO NIGHT* Release Party with The Swearengens and The Bellow Brothers at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $10.
  • My Goodness, Silver Torches and Chrome Lakes at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 9 p.m. Tickets $12.

SUNDAY, August 21

• Ballard Corners Park Work Party from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 17th Ave NW and NW 63rd St. All are welcome to assist in preparing the garden for the Seattle Summer Parkways event.
• Ballard Farmer’s Market along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
• Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring the Altaeus Woodwind Quintet.

  • Open mic at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) sign-up at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sonny and the Sunsets with Boots to the Moon and guests at the Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) at 8 p.m. Tickets $12.
  • The Highwaymen-Tribute to Nelson, Cash, Jennings with Country Dave’s Merle Tribute at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 8 p.m. Tickets $10.
