FRIDAY, August 26

• Park in the Heart childrens Art Classes at Ballard Commons Park (5701 22nd Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The classes will allow children to experiment with color and each week will have a new theme. All are welcome and the event is free.
• Ballard Midday Music Series at Bergen Place Park (5420 22nd Ave NW) from noon – 1:30 p.m.

  • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St)
    • 7 p.m. –  Miles Laven Group – cover $10/$5 students
    • 9 p.m. –  200 Trio – $10 cover

SATURDAY, August 27

• Ballard History Walk from 10 a.m. – 11:45 p.m. meet at Bergen Place Park (5420 22nd Ave NW). Discover the before and after of Ballard’s Nordic migration. Cost is $15 per person. Call or text 206-504-0916 to reserve your spot.
• Seattle Summer Parkways Event all over the neighborhood from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Free event with everything for the whole family.
• Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring the Lynwood Community Band.
• Brewshed Ballard Pub Crawl: Round II from 2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. starting at Hale’s Ales (4301 Leary Way NW) Everyone is welcome to join the pub crawl to keep Washington Wild, Green, and Full of Great Beer. Tickets $15.
• The Market Street Singers present Festival of Favorites: A Community Choral Celebration at Ballard First Lutheran Church in the Downstairs Hall (2006 NW 65th St) at 7:30 p.m. A suggested participant donation of $15 will help cover expenses.
• The Lorax movie screening at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Cost is free.

  • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St) at 7pm – Dorothy Rodes – cover $10
  • KEXP Presents: Diarrhea Planet with Hounds of the Wild Hunt+DJ Mike Steve at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $14.
  • Vicious Petals, The Echolarks and Tape Stacks at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 9 p.m. Tickets $10.

SUNDAY, August 28

• Ballard Farmer’s Market along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
• Zumba Class at Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. $5 suggested donation, all funds raised go to Ballard Elks charities. Classes are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month.
• Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring the The Professor Gadget Sax Quartet.
• Live Music
  • Open mic at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) sign-up at 7:30 p.m.
  • Crystal Garden with Good Quiver & Bad Kid Billy at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 8 p.m. Tickets $10.
