Ballard High School is holding the first annual boy’s youth lacrosse camp this summer for kids in grades 2 through 8.
The ‘Mighty Beaver Lax Camp’ is from July 10 to 14, and will help raise money for BHS’s lacrosse team. BHS lacrosse head coach Don Preston said lacrosse at BHS is entirely self-funded, so the funds from the camp will allow them to purchase equipment and keep registration costs down.
Coach Preston said the BHS team had a great season, winning 17 out of their 19 games. “We’re looking to keep the momentum going by getting young kids excited about the sport,” he said.
“Experienced coaches from the program, as well as upper classmen and graduating seniors will be on staff to ensure that all of the kids have a safe, fun and educational week of lacrosse.”
More information about the camp and registration info can be found on the BHS lacrosse website.
