The Ballard NW Senior Center (5429 32nd Ave NW) is hosting a “big, colossal, gigantic” movie and book sale this Saturday, July 22 from 9am to 3pm.
The movies are from Rain City Video, which donated hundreds of DVDs to the center on their last day open. The books were donated from an independent book store in Queen Anne. DVDs will be $2 each, and books will be 50 percent off their marked price. There will also be some greeting cards and gift sets for sale, donated by Laurel Ink.
“Come, tell everyone and find books and movies from all genres will be available at rock bottom prices. Chef Bob’s Café will also be open serving soups, sandwiches, salads, pies, and more,” their event listing reads.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Ballard NW Senior Center, which serves over 4,000 local senior annually.
