Ballard Boys & Girls Club Spring Sports Registration

The Ballard Boys & Girls Club is offering several sports for the spring season for ages 4 years old through 5th grade. The spring season features Tee Ball and Machine Pitch leagues with 1 hour games. Expanding from interest they will be offering a Girls Volleyball League that is a great fit for beginner to intermediate level girls. Other offerings include: Flag Rugby, Soccer (Ages 4-6), and Cheerleading. Information on each program including days, times, and pricing are below. Tee Ball (PK-1st grade) – Get your youngster started with baseball! Our Tee Ball league focuses on fun, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. Each team will practice or play a game twice per week. Each game/practice is one hour long. Open to all genders. All players receive a ball cap and jersey.
Dates: March 26 – June 8
Days/Times: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays (1 hour 2x/week only) 5:30-7:30pm
Price: $70 +BGC membership
Rookie Machine Pitch (1st-2nd grade) –Beginner to intermediate players looking to learn or improve the basic fundamentals of baseball. While batting players will hit from a soft toss from a coach and move to hitting off the pitching machine. All games and practices will be on the Ballard BGC baseball field. Open to all genders. All players receive a ball cap and jersey.
Each game/practice is one hour long.
Dates: March 26 – June 8
Days/Times: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays (1 hour 2x/week only) 4:00-8:00pm
Price: $65 +BGC membership
Transitional Machine Pitch (3rd-5th grade) – Transitional Machine Pitch league will utilize our pitching machine to start the season while transitioning into a player or coach pitching to the batter to allow them to build their skills and progress to the next level. All games and practices will be on the Ballard BGC baseball field with players hitting off a pitching machine. Open to all genders. All players receive a ball cap and jersey.
Each game/practice is one hour long.

Days/Times: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays (1 hour 2x/week only) 4:00-8:00pm
Price: $65 +BGC membership
Girls Volleyball League (3rd-5th grade) –Great program for beginner and intermediate players. Players will be placed on teams based on buddy requests and competitive balance. Players will practice up to 6 times and play up to 8 games during the season.
Dates: April 2 – May 23 (no program 4/9 & 4/11)
Days/Times: Mondays & Wednesdays (1 hour between 5:30-8:00pm)
Price: $65 +BGC membership
Cheerleading (Ages 7-17) – Be a part of the Ballard Boys & Girls Club beginning-to-intermediate level cheer squad! You’ll learn dances, cheers, and beginning tumbling. There will be opportunities to perform too. Dream Team has performed at halftime for the Seattle Storm and University of Washington basketball games, and numerous community events. Previous experience is not required—contact instructor with questions. Cheer classes are run by Eastside Dream Elite Cheer& Dance, www.EastsideDreamElite.com.
Dates: February 28 – April 4
Days/Times: Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm
Price: $85 +BGC membership
Soccer by Happy Feet (Ages 4-6) – Great introduction to structured soccer leagues, and an even better exposure to team sports. Each session begins with a mini-HappyFeet class that includes a skill introduction, followed by a small-sided game – including goals! Each child gets a dedicated coach that encourages your child to try new soccer moves in fun and exciting ways. Receive a team jersey.
Dates: February 28 – April 4 (no program 4/14 & 5/26)
Days/Times: Saturdays 1 hour between 9:00am-12:00pm
Price: $99 +BGC membership
Flag Rugby by Atavus (Grades 1st-6th) – Atavus Rugby has developed a youth curriculum full of games and skills inspired by rugby, leveraging the sport’s positive qualities to focus on multiple aspects of your child’s physical development and personal growth. Games such as ultimate rugby and capture the flag will be partnered with drills to allow players to expand on a variety of skills including catch-pass ability, leadership, evasion, decision-making, and confidence in contact all while having fun through play. This program requires no experience in rugby and the skills learned during our programming can be applied to other sports! Players will all receive a variety of Atavus Rugby gear including a t-shirt and wristband.
Dates: April 5 – May 17 (no class 4/12)
Days/Times: Thursdays 5:30-6:45pm
