Monster is excited to team up with local artist Laura Souyoultzis, a veteran of ceramics who has been bringing projects to classrooms for over 15 years! Each participant will make a mug using the “slab method” and the slab roller. Using the slab technique, we will incorporate layers of texture in the clay with a variety of objects. We will discuss forming the handle and attaching clay together by score-n-slip.

This class is intended for those with no clay experience and would like to try it out and learn the process for making an excellent mug. Materials will be provided. Each participant will have their piece returned in 4-5 weeks (to be picked up at Monster) with a clear glaze over the white clay.
