What’s all the hype with alcohol markers? Find out why these pricey markers are soooo popular with fashion designers and comic artists and learn how you can use them, no matter your discipline! Or maybe you already have some markers of your own, but are interested in learning how best to use them for layering, blending, and matching colors from references.

In Intro to Alcohol Markers, we’ll learn to draw and render with alcohol markers and how they’re totally different from water-based markers. Alcohol markers provide a great way to do fast, layered drawings in vibrant colors, and their ability to blend enables you to get some really cool effects!

This class will include a set of 12 alcohol markers and a paper pad to take home with you–a $75 value! This class is recommended for ages 12 and up.

Maxx Follis-Goodkind (she/her) was first introduced to drawing with alcohol markers in a Technical Rendering class in college. She loved the way colors could be layered without having to wait for anything to dry and the crisp lines. She’s been using alcohol markers ever since and frequently brings them to sketch when she’s outside the studio because of the clean setup.
