Kaylyn Rogers writes and performs music from a delicate mental health perspective. Her songs are saturated with self reflective lyrics that inhabit both starkly minimalist and sprawling sonic landscapes that usher in an almost spiritual contemplation. In this music Rogers intimately reflects on what she’s learned and unlearned in times of anxiety by affirming the taboo emotions so often left unexposed. It carries with it an impassioned affirmation of human anxieties that reveal the depth of life, both at its most despairing and its most hopeful.
