Get your ideas onto the page and finally MAKE THAT ZINE!

Zines are small books, usually made out of a single sheet of paper, that anyone can make! In this all-ages workshop, join us to develop your zine from start to finish. Learn different ways to fold the same piece of paper to acquire different zine formats. Each month we’ll focus on a different topic so you can keep coming back to make more!

The cost of the class includes 10 copies of your zine printed on your choice of Risograph colors or on our Laserjet printer.

February: Advanced Zine Formats! Already tried the classic beginner zines? It’s time to level up your game with 16-page zines or even square zines with pockets. Learn the advanced techniques and then print using our Risograph machines!

March: Comics! We’ll use zines to make small comics. Have a comic character in mind? Or want to make an autobiographical comic about something fun you did this past week? All are welcome–even if you’ve never written a comic before.

April: Poetry! Kick off National Poetry Month with a poetic take on zines. Use collage, erasure, and other methods to explore your intentions for the new year. Very friendly to folks intimidated by poetry and absolute newbies!
