Nordic Connections & Resources Class
June 17, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeFred Poyner IV, Collections Manager at the Nordic Museum, will talk about the Cultural Resource Center and some of the new programs and resources being offered as part of the space, such as the “Interwoven” oral history project, the National Nordic Museum Online Collections, and the Nordic Genealogy Program.
In 2018, the National Nordic Museum (NNM) opened its new facility in the heart of Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. As part of its new operations, NNM is intensifying its commitment to provide all visitors with a strong understanding of the Nordic countries, and the heritage, culture, and traditions of the Nordic peoples. The Cultural Resource Center (CRC) serves the public as a platform for cultural research, educational exchange and critical discourse in which visitor access, inclusion, and engagement are paramount.
