Seattle Friends of Fission is joining 40+ cities around the globe to recognize nuclear power’s clean, dependable, safe energy to fight climate change. When nuclear plants are forced to close, they are overwhelmingly replaced by fossil fuels. We want to bring this to public awareness and to encourage public support of Nuclear energy. To effectively decarbonize, we have to maintain our current nuclear power plants and not close them, and build new nuclear plants.
We’ll have interviews with experts, answer questions, and have some educational materials.
