Humans and other organisms all require healthy physical habitats to prosper. But over development and climate change are eroding those habitats, and thus our future prosperity. Most of us exist only as passive “consumers”, letting the government or other organizations fix such problems. But what if we choose to be directly involved, making individual contributions, and joining together with public and private organizations that preserve and restore habitat? Could this create more citizen engagement and a sense of shared responsibility where together, we create a lever large enough to tip the world back into balance?
