Yule in the Park
December 21, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Join us for our Annual Yule Celebration! We will celebrate the shortest day and the longest night by honoring the Great Mother and Father Winter, aka SANTA!
Santa this year will be brought to us by Oberon Zell himself! We are holding this celebration in Ballard who’s sister city lays in Norway.
In our religion of Wicca, we typically place our burdens energetically into the Yule log to be burned away to make way for the days that begin to lengthen, heralding the growing season to come.
We will have tokens available for you to place your burdens and lift your spirits energetically, which we will take and burn with the Yule log at the home church and send all those worries, stress and anxieties that can harm us (especially during the holiday season) back into the earth to be recycled and renewed into something positive.
Santa will be on hand to hear your wishes and dreams for the next year, and grant your wishes to come true!
One token he will provide is a heart shaped paper basket. These have been used to decorate Christmas Trees in Norway and we wanted to honor the connection between Ballard for hosting us, and their sister city with cultural exploration. You will place your burdens in these, and we will decorate a tree with it and then return the burdens into the earth!
The second token is a symbolic gift which under examination can show you the tools you have already to make your dreams come true for the year to come. For more information about the symbolism of your gift and your wish, our Priests and Priestesses will be on hand for brief interpretations.
For an in-depth look, you can take your token to the Seattle Psychic Association event, across the street and have a reading. In fact, if you see Santa on Saturday, you can come back to get your reading on Sunday at the SPA event for 5% OFF!
Donations Are Welcome!
We are a 501c3 Nonprofit, and we are able to help the community because of your donations. Please consider a $5 or $10 donation for each person that attends. This helps us continue to do the work that helps our community and facilitate rituals for the public!
